Business Development Manager - Regulated Electricity Distribution Job DescriptionSisko Group are currently working on behalf of the UKs leading infrastructure and energy networks service contractor. We are looking for an expert Business Development Manager to join the clients energy division with a specific focus on regulated electricity networks, the successful candidate will be tasked with growing existing relationships with regulated clients as well as developing and delivering new business opportunities.
The Business Development Manager will work closely with the Business Development Director and Contract Director in the development of an overall business development strategy through detailed market analysis and building a comprehensive understanding of the target client base and identifying key opportunities and challenges they are facing through the current pricing period and beyond. They will support the central bid team to ensure all governance requirements are met and that all supporting documentation is complete. The Business Development Manager will also support the bid manager to develop bid specific win themes, answer plans and relevant evidence to enhance bid submissions as well as detailed involvement in all regulated electricity pre-qualifications for new business and re-tenders.
Skills & Knowledge
Essential:
- Complete familiarity with the Electricity sector and in particular the Distribution Network Operators.
- Ideally a working knowledge and technical understanding of the electricity network
- Familiarity with the Salesforce Database system
- Understanding of work winning procedures and processes to ensure compliance to these during bid process
- Demonstrable experience working on multi-million pound engineering, construction and infrastructure submissions
- Knowledge of work activities undertaken in the Electricity DNO Energy sector
- Knowledge of the utilities and/or engineering sector would be beneficial
- Full driving license and willingness to travel and stay away nationwide
Preferred:
- Knowledge of ICP and IDNO markets and Net Zero ambitions
