CAD Technician

 

Job Description

The client has over £100 million invested in renewables projects and more than 500 megawatts of power generation installed across the UK, they've been driving significant progress in the renewable energy sector.

There focus is firmly on supporting the growth of renewables to help the UK meet its legally binding targets for combating climate change and reducing carbon emissions. We're tackling this challenge on a grid scale through the development, ownership, and operation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

They have over 1 gigawatt (GW) of battery storage projects, with construction on the first major projects set to begin in Q1 2024. It's an exciting time for the industry, and we're proud to be at the forefront of driving positive change towards a cleaner, greener future.

Here's what we're looking for in our ideal candidate:

  • Someone with a genuine enthusiasm for the energy storage sector, especially when it comes to delving into the technical aspects of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
  • A sharp eye for detail! Precision is key in our designs, so we need someone who can deliver accuracy and collaborate effectively to ensure our designs are top-notch and ready for construction.
  • A clear communicator who thrives on teamwork. If you enjoy bouncing ideas off others and being an active part of a collaborative team, you'll fit right in.
  • A self-starter with a drive to succeed in the electrical industry. If you're motivated, ambitious, and ready to take on new challenges, we want to hear from you.
  • Whether you're coming from an engineering background or you've got at least a year's experience with AutoCAD, we're interested in hearing from you.
  • Experience in producing land plans and planning application drawings is a big plus.
  • Knowledgeable about planning application plans and familiar with the key design and formatting requirements.
  • Experience using software to gather input data for land ownership plans is advantageous.
  • Ability to take initiative and effectively prioritize tasks to support the team in achieving our objectives.
  • A pro at thriving in a fast-paced team environment.
