Job Description

Sisko Group are partnered with a long standing client and searching for an experienced renewable development professional in Germany for a Country Manager position:

This position can be located in either Germany or London

The Role:


This position would be working for an exciting and ambitious international renewable developer leading their German development and driving ambitious growth plans over the next 3-5 years within Solar PV and BESS technologies.  

 
The company is in various European markets and their teams are highly motivated and passionate about delivering exceptional service to their clients and as our business continues to grow.

You will play a pivotal role in developing and executing a talented team, strategic initiatives to expand our market presence, strengthen partnerships, and drive sustainable business growth across Germany.

This leadership role requires a candidate with an entrepreneurial mindset, proven track record in the renewables industry, exceptional business acumen, in-depth market knowledge and the ability to navigate a complex regulatory landscape.

About You

  • Fluent in both German and English
  • Proven track record in both senior management and leadership within relevant sectors of sustainability, renewable energy, energy engineering and/or infrastructure development (at least 5-10 years’ experience)
  • Commercially astute;
  • Strong energy market awareness;
  • Ability to understand the key commercial aspects of energy projects as well as be able to articulate key commercial, technical, and legal risks for projects and their potential impact on investor returns.
  • Excellent contacts across the German renewable energy landscape, leading to a strong origination base

    We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our team.

    The successful candidate will be responsible designing roof mounted solar panels and associated systems in mainly commercial settings.      The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the sub-contract labour are installing solar to the required compliance and company standards and associated systems in mainly commercial settings (this will include battery systems).

    The role will include manual work, including working at heights.

    Duties

    • Oversee the installation of commercial solar systems
    • Connect solar panels to electrical systems
    • Liaison with internal staff (sales, designers and management)
    • Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues
    • Chesterfield based but may require working away from home (not permanently)

     

    Qualifications

    • Qualified electrician is essential with knowledge and experience in solar energy solutions (minimum 2 years)
    • Ability to read technical drawings
    • IT literate including email and job management software
    • DBS checked
