Senior Wastewater Network Modeller

Location: Remote (occasional travel to sites in the South East – Brighton/Falmer)

Contract Type: Full-time, 37 hours per week

The Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled Senior Wastewater Network Modeller to join a forward-thinking team delivering innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective wastewater infrastructure solutions. You'll play a key role in shaping designs, mentoring junior staff, and applying cutting-edge modelling techniques to solve complex challenges in the water sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or contribute to wastewater modelling projects from outline to detailed design.
  • Ensure that all designs are environmentally sustainable and technically sound.
  • Provide specialist input on hydraulic calculations, specifications, and modelling deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, adopt digital design solutions, and drive innovation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and supply chain partners to ensure technical excellence.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior engineers.
  • Deliver work within agreed budgets and timelines, ensuring value and quality.

About You

Qualifications:

  • Degree (MEng/BEng/BSc) in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a numerate discipline.
  • Professional membership of a relevant institution, or actively working towards it.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in wastewater network modelling within the UK Water Industry.
  • Sound understanding of hydraulic modelling software and relevant design tools.

Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and modelling platforms.
  • Collaborative mindset and a passion for technical excellence.

    The Opportunity

    Are you a Field Service Engineer experienced in working with heavy fabrication? Join a global environmental engineering company supporting major UK wastewater sites. This field-based role offers excellent earning potential, industry-specific training, and clear progression pathways.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct site visits for mechanical inspections, servicing, installations, and repairs.
    • Work from mechanical engineering drawings to confidently strip, service, and install new and existing equipment.
    • Produce detailed site reports upon job completion.
    • Coordinate with the Regional Field Manager and internal teams to ensure efficient issue resolution.
    • Build strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

    What You'll Need

    • NVQ Level 2 or higher in a relevant engineering discipline.
